Much of the inspiration for my paintings are inspired by adventures in national, state, provincial, and local parks. Camping, hiking and boating where possible in these wild places has been a lifelong passion. We have made several trips across the US and Canada, staying in many beautiful parks and taking time to observe and appreciate nature at its purest. In addition, I have spent 3-4 months a year volunteering for the National Park Service out west at Great Sand Dunes National Park and El Morro National Monument, and on the east coast at Acadia National Park and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. And when we are home in West Jefferson, we hike on Blue Ridge Parkway trails frequently.

Park Adventures features many paintings from the places we have volunteered and visited.
