Acadia National Park, on the rocky coast of Maine, is a place where I have spent 2-3 months a year for the past 10 years. Since I once lived further up the coast, it feels to me like returning home. While there I do small plein air watercolors and take many pictures of ocean scenes to work on in my studio. My volunteering duties at this park have included hosting artists-in-residence who pass through, working with the Schoodic Education Adventure, a program for middle school students, and working at the Carroll Homestead to acquaint visitors with stories of early coastal settlers.
